Object 757

Developed by the design bureau of the Chelyabinsk plant. Not serially produced. In 1959, a prototype tank was manufactured. The tank was tested at the proving ground, but in 1961, work on the machine was discontinued. The reason was the rejection of the concept of heavy tanks, as well as the creation of a new missile tank Object 772. The main armament in Object 757 was the D-126S launcher. The gun was capable of firing Rubin anti-tank guided missiles with a rate of fire of 4-5 rounds per minute, and a firing range of up to 4 km. When aiming, a special infrared beam was used. The main drawback of the guidance system was the impossibility of aiming when using a smoke screen by an enemy target.
